The books are printed on special paper, using DuraBrite inks which are made of actual pigments, not dye, and give a crisp, bright image. The images themselves are made on the computer, using the mouse as a brush. A life long trained artist, I find this is just another medium such as oil or watercolor, but energy sparing in my old age. I handcraft the books, binding them in fancy textiles, and they are quite handsome.

This book is about the aging process. I have used myself as the model in the paintings and also my reflections about the changes we go through as we age. It is made of three stages: the active retirement years of 67-82, the need for more personal care, age 82-86 and then the stage 86-88 where I am now in Assisted Living. Doctors and clinicians know all the outward signs of aging, but these are my own experiences of of the inward, personal journey: physically, mentally and emotionally.
